DNR Lake Information
Fishing InformationThe Brainerd Lakes Area is a fisherman's dream. There are fishing guides available who know all of the great fishing spots. There are hundreds of well-stocked lakes with a variety of fish including: walleye, crappie, small-mouth bass, large-mouth bass, sunfish, perch, northern pike, muskie, and more. Lots of small hidden lakes in the Foot Hills well stocked with fish for a nice quiet day of fishing. Summer offers the Minnesota fishing opener and tournaments throughout the entire season. The Pine River Lions Club hold their annual "Take A Kid Fishing Day" every June and all kids attending experience a exciting, fun filled day on the water! Hackensack Childrens Fishing Contest. This is Minnesota's LARGEST Children's Fishing Contest. It runs every Tuesday from June 8 through August 24, 2010 from 11am to 1pm. There are bait and tackle stores in every neighborhood for your fishing needs. |
